Skinny, healthy lasagne made with ricotta and spinach. Delicious and easy.


I use these amazing lentil flour lasagne sheets, so no wheat & no eggs here.

They are just like regular lasagne sheets in texture & flavour wise.

Now, I am assembling it using my béchamel sauce & ricotta spinach filling (see my previous videos up here).

Start with an abundant layer of Béchamel, then the ricotta filling then the lasagne sheets.

No need to add cheese between the layers as there is plenty in the spinach filling.

and repeat with another layer of filling & noodles,

for about a 4 to 6 portions dish, I use 6 lasagne sheets in total.

Make sure there is enough béchamel sauce to top the oven dish and the lasagne sheets are fully covered.

Optional: sprinkle the top with some finely grated parmesan.

Bake in a 180C (350F) pre heated oven for about 30 mins.

For evenly oven cooking always start & finish the layering with plenty of béchamel.

Easy To Peel Steamed (Not) Boiled Eggs. Foolproof!

 

In this video, I show how i make super easy to peel steamed boiled eggs. No waste, no need for ice bath. No mess & no fuss. Totally foolproof & consistent all the time! Bring some water to a rolling boil, it should take about 8/10 minutes. I am using 4 organic fresh eggs. Fill a bowl with cold tap water. There is no need for ice cubes. Place it by the steamer along with a slotted spoon to collect the eggs. When the water is on full boil, place the eggs in a steamer basket & cover with lid. Keep the water boiling at full steam for 8 mins, it is best to set an alarm. When time is up, turn pot off & plunge eggs quickly in the cold tap water. Make sure they are all submerged. And this is the best part, the eggs peel so easily with no mess and no fuss. Gently tap the egg on surface 4 times: top, bottom & sides, like so... The peel just comes off effortlessly… And repeat this sequence with all the eggs. Totally fool proof and consistent all the times. No mess, no fuss, no waste, no ice bath. The shell can be composted too. I prefer the yolks slightly softer, but for firmer texture, steam them for 10 to 11 minutes at full steam (instead of 8 minutes only). Add a sprinkle of pink salt, and they are ready. Don't forget to compost the box & the eggshells and give the water used to cool them in to the plants. Super easy, quick, delicious steamed eggs. No fuss, no mess & no waste!

Lose Weight With This Light & Fluffy Low Carbs Apple Pie.No Eggs, No Sug...

 

Today I made an almost magical pie with no gluten, no oils, no eggs & no sugar. Lose weight with this low carbs light but satiating fluffy apple pie. 250 g of cream cheese (this is substitute for 3 eggs). 100 g of Xylitol (or other sugar free sweetener). Mix well to incorporate them together. Add the zest of a lemon and mix well again. Add 250 g of natural or Greek yogurt & stir it well. Add 1 cup (about 150 g ) of coconut flour & mix well. Add 1 teaspoon of soda bicarbonate (about 5 g). Add 1 teaspoon of vinegar & 1 tablespoon of milk (together they mimic& replace buttermilk) and mix well. I have 3 Royal Gala apples, but any other type will be fine too. Remove the seeds and the stalk and chop them up in small pieces. I am adding 1 more splash of milk as I want the mixture to be thin like a batter. Add the chopped apples & stir them in well. I am using a silicone mold as It doesn't require greasing bottom & sides. Pour the mixture in & spread it out flat. Bake it in a 180C/350F preheated oven for 30 mins or until golden brown. Et Voila', done! Let it cool down before serving. As there is no oil & no gluten, It has a very fluffy & flaky consistency. IT'S VERY LIGHT & FRAGRANT.THE MELTED APPLE PIECES GIVE THE PIE A BUTTERY FLAVOR... The coconut flour makes it fluffy, the lemon zest makes it light & fresh. This is a real treat even on a weight loss or diabetes diet, It helps with weight loss as it's satiating & full of fibres. Delicious & light, Sugar Free, Egg free, Gluten Free & low carbs apple pie.
